No, she was also part of the cast in Inherent Vice.

When do you think the full trailer of nightmare alley and the first trailer of licorice pizza are coming out? October? November?

Deadline are holding an event for AMPAS and BAFTA members in London on October 9th with previews of “this year’s awards season”. The films being previewed are: Amazon Studios – A Hero, Encounter, The Tender Bar Apple – CODA Focus Features – Belfast, Last Night in Soho MGM – Cyrano, No Time to Die Neon – Spencer Netflix – Passing, The Hand of God, The Harder They Fall, The Lost Daughter, The Power of the Dog Universal – Dear Evan Hansen, Sing 2 Warner Bros. – Dune

It’s weird that Netflix in this event is not showing Don’t Look Up, is there’s something we don’t know about??

And also MGM seems to not care about House of Gucci or Licorice Pizza.

If I remember correctly Erik Anderson did say that DLU is not really a priority for Netflix. He kind of implied it’s not even in their top3.

They probably consider it a more commercial movie.

And I wonder why from the moment that DLU has a stellar cast, probably the most incredible cast of the last decade. I mean why all those stars such as dicaprio, Streep ecc ecc should have accepted their roles in a movie that netflix is not considering a priority? I think DLU is the priority for Netflix along with TPOTD.

I may be crazy but I’ve slotted Passing into my picture predictions. Netflix are campaigning hard for it and if it really is the Can You Ever Forgive Me? of this year it should have no trouble getting into Picture considering that film was probably 10th in 2019.

FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

Nope. TPOTD is clearly first but DLU is not second. I actually trust Erik since he often talks with studio reps.

And in my opinion Licorice Pizza is obviously the priority for MGM.

Yeah, i think Erik Anderson is wrong this time around.

You don’t put together that type of cast (especially with DiCaprio, Lawrence, Blanchett, and Streep in it) with a filmmaker who right now is loved by AMPAS, with that subject matter (political satire about climate change/COVID, etc..) without pushing it among your priorities.

    It’s ridiculous to me.

According to NEON, a full length Spencer trailer is coming at some point today. Excited!

I have put Passing in my tenth slot too. That trailer is one of the best trailers I have ever seen and I just have a gut feeling about it. I was skeptical about it’s chances before I saw the trailer but now I think it’s a serious contender in 5 different categories (BP, Actress, Supporting Actress – if Negga does wind up in that category, Adapted Screenplay and Cinematography – with a lesser chance in several others too).

I mean have people seen that horrible trailer?  I totally believe it’s not their second priority and star power doesn’t necessarily mean the movie is good. It’s obviously not getting into the acting categories and I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s snubbed in Screenplay too.

If DLU sucks, Passing will be Netflix’s second nominee.

But it really obviously is, with DiCaprio.

    For Your Consideration:
The Banshees of Inisherin in ALL categories, including:
    - Best Picture
    - Best Director
    - Best Actor (Colin Farrell)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Brendan Gleeson)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Barry Keoghan)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Kerry Condon)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Sheila Flitton)
    - Best Original Screenplay

Of course stans still can’t believe their king Leonardo ‘I only date under 25’ Dicaprio is not getting nominated for this. What’s new?
