well the movie is in the seven place in the feinberg prediction for best picture three days ago so i think the movie is no in trouble for a best picture nomination fot the moment.

The basis of the film’s Oscar chances is off Scott Feinberg’s predictions?💀

    Michelle Williams Oscar campaign manager.

that’s true, theres no argument. But happend before that feinberg put very high in his top films like 1917 and promising young woman when nobody thought could win or been nominated in a lot of awards and he was very right

why not? Almost all of Spielberg’s latest films were nominated to best picture except for the ones that are like tintin or indiana jones

Regardless of his track record, he’s still essentially remaking a previous BP winner and one of the most beloved films of all-time. And that’s before we get to the plethora of other baggage WSS has. It just feels like something that people push as a safe bet because it hits boxes on paper, but ends up going nowhere.

and that is still in the variety and awards daily predictions

last year feinberg says since the begining that promising young woman and sound of metal were going to be nominated and almost nobody here believed him. What he was wrong about was underestimating judas and the black messiah. Some of his forecasts are more like scoops than predictions

Some of y’all see a critically acclaimed movie and think it’ll automatically be a top contender. Things like Eighth Grade, Cold War, The Rider, Uncut Gems, Carol, The Florida Project and many others failed to do that.

    So, please…

Doubt West Side Story at your own peril. In my opinion.

The truth is that we all came to this season with our own biases against or for WSS. And our positions are not going to change till WSS is released and we see how it is received.

None of these were made by Oscar-winning filmmakers.

Exactly. Cohen, Washington and McDormand have won 10 Oscars combined out of over 30 noms so the confidence in Macbeth is perfectly justified.

cold war was nominated  for best director in a year with 8 best picture nominations. If the nominees for best films had been 10 in this year, it would almost certainly have been nominated.

No it won’t. Can You Ever Forgive Me and Mary Poppins Returns would have had the remaining slots. I’m not saying that those were better films than Cold War but they were nominated in the precursors unlike Cold War.
