Again. You’re pathetic as fuck. Not the 1st time. You’re such a cringe fuck here. Trial of the Chicago 7 didnt deserve a directing nom. Ok. But you dont know at all what Sorkin is doing here. You’re just hating. You’re so twitter

Belfast joins other Middleburg winners that won Best Picture: Minari, The Two Popes & Mudbound LOL

I know, Green Book did win. Belfast is more Green Book than White Roma.

Kevin Feige’s big Oscar hopeful has dropped last night and reactions are in. Is it a contender? Depends on for what award. Jordan Ruimy thinks Razzie is in the bag:

This aside, most reactions are very positive but none mentions awards prospects.

There are a lot of mixed reactions out there. Matt Neglia didn’t like it and Scott Mendelson had mixed feelings about it. I think this is going to be more Black Widow than Shang Chi

It seems most honest reactions (i.e., putting aside the usual immediate post-unveiling, disingenuous kiss-up tweets) are not very positive. No honeymoon for Chloe Zhao looks to be in the cards.

to be fair, didn’t TPOTD get not so great tweets and now it’s the highest rated of festival movies with high Meta and what not? Wasn’t MacBeth dismissed and now is receiving raves?

That said, I did notice that Neglia and Ruimy, who are also pundits or semi-pundits, didn’t even mention awards prospect, and neither did anyone else. If my memory is correct, BP had awards tweets right out of the gate no matter what one thinks of it now that it’s safe not to treat is as a sacred cow.

To be fair, not quite that – plenty more honest upbeat immediate takes on those two and others than ones with misgivings – that’s not looking to be the case here. I foresee no CC love for this movie (gauging CC adulation is about the only thing most “Oscar twitter” takes are good for, and that says a lot about OT)

Matt neglia, Erick Weber from Awards ace, Scott Menzel and Daniel Howat from Next best picture hosted a Twitter space today to discuss their review of Eternals and all 4 of them mutually agreed that it would not be an awards contender. They also had a lot of bad things to say about the film
