    Big win for Kotsur today.

After SAG, if y’all want to switch your predictions, we in Team Troy welcome you with open arms.

I haven’t budged on this one since November.

Even if Kodi wins BAFTA and BFCA, I’m not switching.

Kodi is still the worthy frontrunner, let’s see if there’s an upset at BAFTA and then we can doubt him. With that said, congrats to Troy! (Not so much to the NBR pundits, though…)

They do hate Kodi lol I can’t wrap my head around that.

    Jodie Comer supremacy

I still believe that Ciaran Hinds is going to win the Oscar… let’s see what happens at BAFTA!

I think the race between Kodi and Kotsur at SAG is as close as the breadth of a hair.

Kotsur won easily, LOL. The Ensemble win for the film makes it crystal clear.

He is winning the Oscar and has been the obvious winner for months now. It’s too bad the Goldderby system doesn’t have an early prediction bonus for those who have the forsight to see past echo chamber nonsense like Stewarts and Smits.

Since 1940, S Actor winners under 7.0 on IMDB:

George Clooney, triple nominee that year, movie career spanned decades

James Coburn, first time nominee after working decades, elderly

Jack Palance, previous nom was 38 years previous, elderly

Don Ameche, first time nominee after working decades, elderly

John Gielgud, movie career spanned decades, elderly

Obviously Kodi is not elderly, has not worked decades, and unlike Clooney did not direct a BP nominee.

At the end of the day, nobody knows what’s going to happen until the Oscar envelope is opened. Whatever happens, either side will pat themselves on the back for knowing all along or whatever, but truthfully nobody knows anything.

If Hinds smashes at BAFTA, it could potentially be a three-man race.

We really need to see what BAFTA does. If Troy pulls a Youn there, then he’s obviously locked for the Oscar but if BAFTA goes with Kodi then we have a race. Usually the BAFTA winner prevails at the Oscars when the race is split but considering the nature of both performances idk. It’ll be close.

Let’s not overreact here, Troy and the ensemble’s win are huge but Kodi is still the preferred performance in the movie that’s definitely gonna win Best Picture. This race is super close.

It’s weird how this race has taken, like…a weird culture war intensity? Like one or the other winning would stick it to someone. Everyone needs to chill out.

It only became a “culture war” because certain sites turned it into one by running an anti-Kodi campaign. It has been absolutely insufferable and wholly unnecessary.
