    Yuh Jung-Youn giving Kotsur the Supporting Actor Oscar is kind of iconic. Youn’s performance was entirely in Korean and Kotsur’s performance was entirely in ASL Their performances truly transcended language barriers.

    Want to say this again: It’s Peter,the role, that is memorable. Kodi doesn’t deliver an Oscars-winning performance in TPOTD.

    Thrilled to see CODA winning awards!

    A few months ago, I’d say Kodi was going to win but now I think Troy is going to win. I liked both of their performances but I’m really happy for Troy that he’s getting the appreciation he deserves.

    Wonder if she’d say the same if Kodi was still the frontrunner… (No shade to Troy, just to some pundits hating on Smit-McPhee all season)

    Jodie Comer, Elisabeth Moss, Carey Mulligan, Alicia Vikander supremacy

    FYC:

    LOCKWOOD & CO. in all categories (Bafta Tv)

    Darling, this is probably the only category where I’m actually rooting for the frontrunner. Pretty meh category, but… it’s the Oscars. My final prediction of this race;

    Will win: Troy Kotsur, CODA
    Could win: Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Power of the Dog
    Should win: Troy Kotsur, CODA

    Performances ranked;
    1. Troy Kotsur
    2. Ciaran Hinds
    3. Jesse Plemons
    4. Kodi Smit-McPhee
    5. J.K Simmons

    Updated Rankings (in terms of likelihood to win): 1. Troy Kotsur 2. Kodi Smit-McPhee 3. Ciarán Hinds 4. Jesse Plemons 5. JK Simmons Personal Rankings of the performances: 1. Ciarán Hinds 2. Troy Kotsur 3. Jesse Plemons 4. Kodi Smit-McPhee 5. JK Simmons

    I really think someday Ciaran hinds will pull off a win now that he is familiar to the industry and got his first Oscar and BAFTA nom for a movie that underperformed  he is one inch away of completing the British triple crown noms

    Kodi could win also someday if he works with auteurs especially with the likes of del Toro and cuaron
