Without plot details from beyond the synopsis:

He’s there throughout, but always in the background of Phil and Rose because he’s quiet. Opposite of Phil: sweet, kind, quiet, soft-spoken brother, probably the most likable of all the characters. He knows what Phil is like, but he doesn’t talk back, rarely challenges him. Phil is hyper-intelligent, George is (apparently) not.

Falls in love with Rose, brings her to the ranch, it’s sweet. Great step-father to Peter. Almost totally oblivious to what happens between Phil & Rose.

Basically the character who has to clean up everyone’s messes.

Rumour has it that The Humans isn’t a priority for A24 (take with a huge dash of salt in light of the TIFF news)

WHAT. What is then?! The Tragedy of Macbeth only? Red Rocket, Zola, The Green Knight all look like very long shots. (The Green Knight has gotten great reviews! Kinda like A Ghost Story.)

A24 is horrendous at Oscar campaigns. It makes sense they would focus all of their energy on Tragedy of Macbeth with the help of Apple. I’m a bit worried for Jenkins and Houdyshell nominations in the supporting categories since A24 is so inconsistent with campaigning success…but they should be generally safe for a nomination. Its the Adapted Screenplay category where the film may not be safe in. However if Tragedy of Macbeth ends up being a complete flop A24 should focus primarily on The Humans.

True. On the plus side, they make better trailers than every major studio lol

    Very possible.

Alessandro Nivola is a really good actor who I’ve always been waiting to break out in a bigger way, and it’s helpful that he’s actually a lead but probably will be frauded into supporting on the basis that Michael Gandolfini is the lead (he’s not).

Leslie Odom Jr. could be an easy name-check, even if the film’s just OK.

I never thought The Sopranos prequel would be about Dickie Moltisanti.

Kodi Smit-McPhee really needs to be in the predictions center. I’m definitely predicting him and Plemons both.
