100%. Playing an iconic puerto rican character and not even speaking spanish properly. Shows that flashy dancing and singing overcomes the obvious flaws of the performance.

DeBose was great, very worthy of a nomination, but something about it doesn’t feel win-worthy to me. Not that all wins are necessarily worthy, especially in this category, but I would love to see Negga win.

Ruth Negga gives easily the best performance of all potential nominees. She’s amazing in the role. I want her to win too.
