    She’s better than Cumberbatch.

Said who? These kinds of baseless “stan arguments” (yes for once it’s actually something a stan would say) are why people are already actively rooting against Dunst on here. It gets annoying and tired really fast.

FYC: Lead Actress - Alana Haim (Licorice Pizza)

People around here like to root against tons of actors, regardless of stan wars or even watching the performances.
Also, I don’t see the problem in saying she’s better than Cumberbatch. People have said the same about other actors and their co-stars.

I think they thought that they were referring to the performances in the yet to be released film rather than Cumberbatch and Dunst’s acting quality overall.

oop. I must have misread then. Well, in that case, I guess they’re right. Doesn’t make sense talking about who’s better when no one saw the movie. (Apart from festival commitees and Netflix)

Am I the only one who thinks West Side Story is going to flop?

Not at all! Before the trailer came out I knew it is going to be an award season flop. It will appeal to the public since it’s a Steven Spielberg and a remake of a well-beloved classic film but it won’t receive award attentions as much as how the film perceive it to be. Lol

    No Toni Collette?

Idk if it’s gonna be her or Rooney, plus it’s very stacked rn

Am I the only one who thinks West Side Story is going to flop?

Spielberg has had 4 movies nominated in Best Picture in the last decade, so it’s hard to bet against it. Is it a top 5er? No, but it will probably get nominated nonetheless
