I though Jackie was amazing…and I’m excited to see Spencer….because of how controversial it seems to be…..

What would your dream female biopic (I’m assuming Pablo’s next one will be about another woman) be? And who would you cast?

    Mine:

    Nina Simone/Viola Davis
    Rosa Parks/Nicole Beharie

Anya as Evita is the most obvious casting choice ever…which means it’s not gonna happen.

I see Rebecca Ferguson as Ingrid Bergman floating around a lot and now I need to see it.

I’d find it interesting if for his third film Larrain twist the narrative a bit and created a character study of a woman who is/was in a position of power rather than the marginalised wife of a public figure.

The Queen would be a bit too meta because of Spencer. Perhaps Indira Ghandi?

That would be an excellent film. If anyone has the charisma to play Hepburn it’s Mara.

    Rebecca Ferguson as Ingrid Bergman?

Yep, someone made a whole Twitter thread on why they think it would be a good fit. I’d rather see Taylor-Joy as Eva Peron or Mara as Hepburn, but I think this could be an interesting choice, especially headed by Larraín.

    or Michaela Coel!

I would actually love to see a Britney film with his arthouse, dark, introspective vision. I feel like a biopic of her it’s gonna happen sooner or later and it’s not going to make her justice!

Michaela Coel would be PERFECTION. For someone reason I didn’t think of her. I also think of Teyona Parris, Adepero Oduye, and Danai Gurira would all be amazing the role.

Ruth Negga as Josephine Baker, who has one of the most interesting stories ever.

Fled US because of racism. Became a massive star in Paris. Spied for US during WW2. She wrote spy notes in her underwear and music papers. Her story is too incredible for words.

They are doing a limited series for Josephine though.

    It’s Indira Gandhi dear.

Anyways making a biopic on beloved Indian leader involves lots of risks. Being an Indian I know our sentiments involved with our beloved figures. One wrong move and there will be huge backlash. We have seen that previously with movies made on historical figures. Though movie on Indira Gandhi will be interesting but risk factor is huge.
