I think this is so sad. Parasite is getting tons of 1’s following its Oscar win on IMDB. Most of the reviews don’t even talk about the film but instead, a lot of them mention how it won the Oscar because of diversity.
This literally doesn’t make any sense, except that reality that there is a good portion of people that do get mad if anything that shows something that isn’t a representation of their identity, gains success.

1) When did woke become a pejorative? wtf

2) Have they ever seen the film?
3) What’s your bet that these are the same people / bots that are giving Joker all the praise for it’s bold exploration of classism & the human psychology.February 11, 2020 at 2:10 pm #1203343306I saw Critical’s latest video where he reacted to some Xenophobic asshat talk about how Parasite didn’t deserve to win Picture because it was foreign, and I had to click off because I was so triggered. I get mad enough talking to people like Guest 2018 about this. All these people can go fuck off. It’s an award for the best film, not the best American film. The best film should win, regardless of what language it’s in or whether or not you have to read subtitles to understand it.
Americans are so ignorant they don’t realize every foreign country except India and China watches predominantly American cinema, and has to read subtitles all the fucking time. Maybe get out of your mom’s basement and go educate yourself on other cultures for a change.
Also, for those people saying that Parasite only won because they wanted to reward diversity: first of all, explain why no actors of color won this year, and second of all, explain why Roma didn’t win Best Picture last year. It’s not like the academy was any less woke then.

Lol. She didn’t even watch the last 20 minutes of it because it got too dark. And then proceeds to say it wasn’t the best film of the year. I have to laugh…
