You know, the world sucks these days. It makes us sad. We need more comedy, so we can be glad.

Now that I’m done writing poetry, let’s unleash our inner clowns and come up with ideas for parodies of some of this century’s best films.

Please include film titles, basic plotlines, and casting suggestions.

BTW, I came up with the idea for this thread after I noticed that an actress/comedian who I have mutual friends with is a dead ringer for Carey Mulligan. I can easily see her doing a parody of Promising Young Woman.

Is this meant in a Scary Movie type way? If so, I once dreamed of an It parody where there was a kid popping the clown’s balloons with a needle and just straight up fucking him up (which, spoilers, ended up being the way how they killed it in the second film).

Netflix can do a reboot of Not Another Teen Movie with Noah Centineo & Jordan Fisher as two 20 something Hollywood actors stuck playing high school students for the rest of their careers.

Or a parody of Widows starring Martin Lawrence, Adam Sandler, John Leguizamo, & Tyler Perry in drag.

Scary Movie. The only Friedberg-Seltzer project that has ever scored above single digits at Rotten Tomatoes.

That being said, I’d rather not have someone like them handling a parody film. XD
