The other threads inspired me to start this.

We’ve discussed how Michelle Pfeiffer and Meg Ryan turned down Silence of the Lambs.

Bette Midler and Jessica Lange turned down Misery.

Barbra Streisand turned down Klute and Julia.

Cher turned down Thelma and Louise

Debra Winger turned down Fatal Attraction and got pregnant and dropped out of Broadcast News (so she had first choice of 2 of the nominated films plus Nuts too that year)

    List!

I read somewhere that Leonardo DiCaprio was first offered Joker with Scorsese attached as producer but he turned it down for his reasons,so then he got replaced with Phoenix and the rest is history.

Wasn’t there was also a period in between Leo & Joaquin where Bradley Cooper was discussions to play the titular role?
