Both him and Leila Hatami should be Academy Award winners for those performances.

Don’t forget the amazing Sareh Bayat.
A Separation should’ve been an easy Ensemble win at SAG.

Michelle Yeoh
Zhang Ziyi
Chang Chen
Cheng Pei-Pei
Chow Yun-FatThey all should have been nominated for their brilliant performances and I think Zhang Ziyi should have won Lead Actress that year and Chang Chen should have won Supporting Actor and Cheng Pei-Pei should have won Supporting Actress. Its mind boggling that this talented cast was left out in the dust. I also think that the movie should have easily won Best Picture and Best Director and basically every category it was competing in but that’s a conversation for another day. Not only is this movie one of my favourites of all time but its easily one of the greatest movies of all time.

Just because she didn’t get the Oscar nomination doesn’t mean she went unrecognized by the awards circuit.
The OP explicitly states this as well.
Reading is fundamental.

January 17, 2022 at 9:43 pm #1204735189For this year, I’m gonna name
From previous years:
idk how close Knives Out to getting BP, but Ana de Armas deserves more mentions
He won a CC, but still underrecognized me think
imo, one of the best romantic-interest-of-our-female-lead
ngl, Ben Affleck was good in Gone Girl, he was so good playing an asshole that I had to root for Amy
Garfield reigns supreme
I’m still surprised A Serious Man actually got into BP
