Well, I think you’ve convinced me. Director and Editing probably wouldn’t have happened.
Editing would have happened in place of TPOD just like green book replaced Roma in editing

Definitely. While Brie Larson was Oscar worthy in it, I think it was Jacob Tremblay who was the MVP.

Probably. But the Editing is very un-showy in CODA

I keep forgetting he wasn’t nominated. Easy for me to assume he was because he was great.

I prefer my roses whiteMay 23, 2022 at 5:12 am #1204960938Saw Tom Hanks Oscar clip for Big and honest to god thought it was actually Mercedes Ruehl’s, whom I don’t believe gathered any traction during that season for the film.

May 23, 2022 at 6:28 pm #1204961698Darling, the husbands of suffering wives always got snubbed at the Oscars, the most egregious are Donald Sutherland in Ordinary People, Jean-Louis Trintignant in Amour, Gordon Pinsent in Away From Her and Tom Courtenay in 45 Years.
Those performances are equally mesmerizing as their on-screen partner.

This is an interesting and true observation. I might add Peter Falk in A Woman Under the Influence

Be serious. Thomasin did nothing in that mid movie.

Each to their own I assume, but at least its a popular opinion and there are justification behind it. Also you gotta be missing a tastebud if you think she did nothing in the film

His performance in the Oscar-contending movie Marriage Story was weirdly unrecognized despite him being as good as (or even better) than Laura Dern.
