Amy Adams, Arrival and Big Eyes
Emily Blunt in every movie ever (including Sicario, The Devil Wears Prada, The Girl on the Train, and A Quiet Place)
Helena Bonham Carter, the Harry Potter movies (this should’ve been her nom in 2011)
    Jim Carrey, The Truman Show
Joan Crawford, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
    Judi Dench, Skyfall
Cameron Diaz, The Counselor (I’d also shamelessly put The Other Woman)
Kirsten Dunst, The Beguiled (the turtle should’ve also gotten a nom, let’s be honest)
Sarah Michelle Gellar, Veronika Decides to Die
    Jake Gyllenhaal, Prisoners
Dakota Johnson, Suspiria (the way that this movie didn’t make a dent in the awards circuit is upsetting)
    Nicole Kidman, The Beguiled
    Mila Kunis, Black Swan
Jennifer Lawrence, mother! (can’t be emphasized enough)
Joaquin Phoenix, Her (only a few minutes currently into the movie and I already feel like it’s going to be one of my worst snubs)
Florence Pugh, Lady Macbeth (Naomie Ackie too; 2017 was clearly a big year of snubs for me)
Alan Rickman, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2
    Sharon Stone, Basic Instinct
    Alicia Vikander, Ex Machina
    Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids

I’m sure I’ll come up with some more.

“No user starts this shady” - someone culturally relevant.

Also got banned because...reasons? So, I guess ciao.

Off the top of my head…

    – Jennifer Lawrence – Mother!

    – Amy Adams – Arrival

    – Lucy Boynton – Sing Street

    – Alicia Vikander – Ex Machina

    – Matthew McConaughey – Interstellar

    – Joaquin Phoenix – Her (might be the worst one)

    – Shailene Woolley – The Descendants

    – Mila Kunis – Black Swan (!!!!!)

    – Mark Wahlberg – The Fighter (very underrated)

    – Uma Thurman – both Kill Bill’s

    – Reese Witherspoon – Election

    – Jim Carrey – The Truman Show

    – Michelle Pfeiffer – The Age of Innocence

Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips. He was absolutely amazing. He really absorbed himself into the role and it’s impossible to watch the end of the film (when he’s in shock and with the nurse after being rescued) without crying.

I was very surprised when he didn’t even get a nomination for that masterful performance….

Oh, and also Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar.
