    Mélanie Laurent – Inglorious Basterds
Adèle Exarchopoulos – Blue Is the Warmest

    YES to these two!
    Laurent is so underrated.

    Mélanie Laurent – Inglorious Basterds

Damn I forgot Laurent. That scene with the cream!

…and basically any actor from Parasite

    The accuracy.

    Olivia Colman – Tyrannosaur

I think this is actually Colman’s career best performance. Sure it wasn’t a big transformative showy piece like her performance in The Favourite was but it was still a very dedicated performance. She let herself go in the character and that moment where her character broke down gave me chills. Perhaps I was more impressed by her work considering all I had known Colman for at the time was Peep Show but she would have been thoroughly deserving of the nomination and also the win.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

Always here for Dunst-adulation, but Melancholia still followed a shit ton of Oscar nom or win-worthy performances. Interview with the Vampire should’ve been her first nod (maybe even a win) and if not that then The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, The Cat’s Meow, All Good Things, Eternal Sunshine…like…literally all of them. Melancholia should’ve been a win. Eternal Sunshine possibly too. Later, The Beguiled and Bachelorette and Midnight Special. Heavily judging all these wonderful lists that………..for some reason, don’t have Kirsten Dunst on them at all! y’all. c’mon.

    I would also include:

    Mads Mikkelsen (The Hunt)
    Song Kang Ho (Parasite)
    Donald Sutherland (Ordinary People)
    Catherine O’Hara (For Your Consideration)
