Of the 21 feature-length films made by Pixar Animation Studios, 16 of them have been nominated in at least one category at the Academy Awards.

Of the 5 movies that were not nominated for any Oscars, which one do you think was most snubbed, and which nomination(s) do you think it deserved?

As a whole, I think the Oscars got it right for which films should and shouldn’t have been nominated, but while the Cars movies are not among Pixar’s best, Cars 3 was a great return to form (after the studio went drastically off-course for Cars 2), and possibly better than the first film. A nomination for Best Animated Feature would have been nice, especially over The Boss Baby.

In my opinion, Monsters University and Finding Dory weren’t bad, but certainly weren’t as good as Rotten Tomatoes scores would suggest (80% and 94%, respectively).

The Good Dinosaur would have also been a worthy nominee for Best Animated Feature, but it still remains among one of the studio’s weaker films.

The Good Dinosaur, if any. The animation was gorgeous.

I’m going to be very honest- none of them deserved nominations. Finding Dory was good, but it wasn’t as good as the nominees that year (it WAS a competitive year). Cars 3 and The Good Dinosaur was fine, but not superb. Cars 2 and Monsters University are undeserved no matter the year.

Oscars 2021: I support Denis Villeneuve (Dune), David Fincher (Mank), Willem Dafoe (The Card Counter), and Glenn Close (Hillbilly Elegy).

    Movie-lover overall.

Remember that scene in The Good Dinosaur when they tripped on acid or something? What?
