OK, I do know the difference of Sound Editing and Sound Mixing and I Do know what dose artist do for the film…however I have a question.
The MPSE (the Motion Picture Sound Editors) have 3 categories: Sound Editing – Effects, Sound Editing – Dialogue and ADR and Sound Editing – Music.
I know what the Sound Editing of Effects is – the creating of a sound that can’t be recorded on set. I know what Sound Editing of Dialogue and ADR is – the recording of the dialogue on set and the ADR is the re-recording of the dialogue on stage. but what is the Sound Editing of Music? How can the music be edited by the sound editor? I always taught that the Composer record the music and then the mixer incorporate it in the film.
So my question is: What exactly is Sound Editing of Music, and how it works?
