    Birdman, strangely.

Pantheon of acting: Uta / Elizabeth / Richard / Sandy (Virginia Woolf), Bibi / Liv (Persona), Sandrine (La Ceremonie), Brie (Short Term 12), Jodie (Silence of the Lambs), Jodie (Killing Eve), Eva (Penny Dreadful), Timothรฉe (CMBYN), Lupita (Us)

Birdman because that started the stretch of strong indie movies that ended with the film that shall not be named

Good point. I would say the stretch from 12 Years a Slave to The Shape of Water is one of the most solid strings of Best Picture winners in history. That’s something to celebrate, as frustrating as it is that last year’s winner ruined the party.

Moonlight is the best Best Picture winner here but Birdman will forever be my favorite.

Moonlight, 12 Years A Slave and Birdman. Definitely my favourite winners of this decade!

P.S. Desperately hoping for Marriage Story or Parasite to join this list as well, hehe.

    1. Birdman
    2. 12 Years a Slave

    3. The Shape of Water
    4. Moonlight
    5. Spotlight

    6. The Artist
    7. The King’s Speech
    8. Argo

“The Hurt Locker” is from 2000s even if it won during ceremony in 2010 so I’m not including it.
