Her anti-black remarks because she was angry with Spike Lee and her husband died two months before (never knew she was married) and it was early in the morning.

I lost some respect for her as a person right now. She was right back then. And for fuck’s sake, most people do not like Spike Lee. He’s an overrated hack and as annoying as Jada.
You’re an anti-black twat.

She was very wrong actually.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 29, 2018 at 2:35 pm #1202482921Did I miss something? That is a beautiful interview with a wonderful actress who explains her point of view quite well. Was there something objectionable in the article? I understood every word she was saying. She apologized for an early morning poor word choice; haven’t we all made those in life? She is a wonderful actress and I love her. This is actually a wonderful interview and I enjoyed learning about her experiences with Woody Allen on Stardust Memories (an under-rated gem of a movie) and Luschino Visconti.

ReplyCopy URLJanuary 29, 2018 at 5:48 pm #1202483011So because her husband died she went after black people? Why are you trying to redeem this fucking bitch? If you dislike someone and you go after an entire race because that person belongs to it, that’s fucked up (hate groups do that shit). The circunstances that led her to say those things were only showing what she really thinks. This interview is not making her look better.

She could very well be using everything as an excuse, but I will say, when you are grieving a loss, especially someone close, you tend to think about the important things in life. Someone protesting Oscar’s can seem like such an unimportant thing due to the loss of a love one, so if she was being truthful in her apology, than I truly understand where she is coming from.

Think Mel Gibson. Just because you’re drunk doesn’t mean you start spouting hateful things about a group of people outside your immediate identity. All she had to say is it is much ado about nothing. The Academy votes for who they like. See what I did there? I didn’t disparage the cries of nonwhites nor attack black people as perpetrators of discrimination.

Oh I agree with you 100%, but I do know hat a grieving person will say some mean things. I was just saying that I forgive her. Her comments were horrible, but I’ve seen many grieving people do and say evil things out of pain. Its no excuse, but I have seen it many times.
