I figured now would be a good time to rank all of the Oscar winners in any individual category from this past decade of the 2010s. Here’s how I rank the winners for Best Actor:
1. Daniel Day-Lewis-Lincoln
2. Eddie Redmayne-The Theory of Everything
3. Casey Affleck-Manchester By the Sea
4. Joaquin Phoenix-Joker
5. Colin Firth-The King’s Speech
6. Leonardo DiCaprio-The Revenant
7. Gary Oldman-Darkest Hour
8. Jean Dujardin-The Artist
9. Matthew McConaughey-Dallas Buyers Club
10. Rami Malek-Bohemian RhapsodySo what’s your ranking? Even if you haven’t seen all 10 of these winners, feel free to rank the ones you have actually seen.

2. Joaquin Phoenix
3. Colin Firth
4. Casey Affleck
5. Gary Oldman (should’ve been Day-Lewis)
6. Leonardo DiCaprio (not the best lineup…maybe Cranston?)
7. Matthew McConaughey (DiCaprio)
8. Eddie Redmayne (Keaton)
9. Rami Malek (Cooper)
10. Jean Dujardin (Oldman)ReplyCopy URL“The art of making art is putting it together...”

I don’t really care for the rest. I wished Leo won for WOWS and then I would somehow have to break the tie between him and Joker. Whom to choose?

I would go

1. Eisenberg (give Bridges a win for earlier work, Firth wins for A Single Man.)
2. Pitt, but I can live with Jean.
3. Phoenix
4. Undecided. Four of them deserve to win though, so it changes for me. It’s DiCaprio’s best performance, but I am going to cheat a bit and give him his Revenant win because that lineup is bad and another great performance could win this year.
5. Keaton
6. DiCaprio
7. Affleck
8. Chalamet
