Following on from the Best Actor and Actress ones I wondered how some would rank the screenplay nominees of this year.

6. Minari (Written by: Lee Isaac Chung)
7. One Night in Miami (Written by: Kemp Powers)
8. The White Tiger (Written by: Ramin Bahrani)
9. The Trial of the Chicago 7 (Written by: Aaron Sorkin)
10. Borat Subsequent Moviefilm

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

Why people hate Borat screenplay so much🤣… it’s fun to had some comedic screenplay competing against serious, dramatic screenplay once in a while.

Haven’t seen The Father.

All of these are very good to excellent, but not perfect. Now that I have seen Another Round, I think that screenplay is perfect and should be here.

Haven’t seen The Father, Minari and The White Tiger yet.

I liked them all. The top 2 are my two favorite screenplays of the year. Great picks overall.

The Father def ties with Nomadland. It was truly one of the best scripts in recent years imo. Also I don’t understand the hype with PYW since it is literally full of offensive and triggering stuff to victims of sexual assult. It doesn’t shed a new light on things it actually making it worse
