LOL, worse than Poe the non character? Worse than that ridiculous Reeeey-yelling Jar jar knock off? Worse than “why the heck are they in the movie?” Power Ranger cosplayer and that big haired repalcement for Rose (another Top 5 Worst Characters ever but in another movie)? Worse than reanimated corpses of Leia and palaptine? Get out.

Poe was a non-character in the JJ movies but actually really good in TLJ. Finn was good in TFA but wasted in the others. That’s a 1/3 score for both, so yeah, I agree that they were much worse than Rey and Kylo (Kylo was great in all of them and Rey was good in the first two).

    I'm back bitches.

I would like to add a discussion for the last 4 episodes of The Clone Wars, as many people feel like it just one long continuous movie. For those who have seen it, where would you add them within your predictions?

Easily Top 3, right after TLJ. I honestly think it’s that phenomenal. I have basically no problems at all with it.

Hopefully Disney takes the opportunity to make the Siege of Mandalore/Order 66 arc a 1 hour and 40 minute movie and release it in theaters after the quarantine is over. Call it Star Wars The Clone Wars: The Finale or something. I would absolutely pay to see those episodes on the big screen, even in the middle of a pandemic.

    I'm back bitches.

Padme and Anakin’s relationship is widely criticized, and rightfully so, thanks to an awkward age gap and zero chemistry between Portman and Christensen.

Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen are exactly the same age though? Agree on the chemistry (terrible) but not sure what you mean re age gap.

Canononically Padme is 4 years older than Anakin, and looks significantly older than that in Episode 1. I always though it was a bit weird that they got together as a kid with that age gap, but maybe that’s just me.

Solo and Rogue One are Star Wars, they’re both canon.

Easy to ignore cause they don’t connect to Saga. They are like companion thing. I ignore them the same way I ignore The Hobbit atrocity.

You’re not alone. I’ve heard many jokes and complaints about the age difference being creepy. Natalie Portman was about 18 when she acted in that film, and while she looks very young, she definitely looks more like a young woman than she does a 14 year old. Meanwhile, Jake Lloyd very much looked his own age, being about 8 years her junior. So even though Hayden Christensen was Portman’s own age, having their characters meet when she was close to a decade older than the previous child actor makes things weird.

Honestly, I don’t know why Lucas decided to make Anakin that young for Phantom Menace. It would’ve made a lot more sense to have him played by an actor who was Portman’s age. That way, they could’ve set up the romance without grossing people out, and it would’ve allowed the actor more time to explore the role throughout the trilogy, letting them play a more innocent and good natured Anakin, rather than having to start the role in the second act where the character is already starting to shift into the role of the bad guy.

I guess it’s just cause Lucas wanted a cute kid, but I agree that Episode 1 would have benefited from an older Anakin, who probably would have been a better actor as well.

Portman had just turned 16 when the movie was shot, but 18 by the time it came out.

I agree that they cast Anakin too young though, it does make for a weird dynamic.
