Metcalf not winning a single precursor (Globes, CC, SAG, BAFTA) still hurts whew.

    7. June Squibb – Nebraska
    8. Melissa McCarthy – Bridesmaids
    9. Florence Pugh – Little Women
    10. Sally Hawkins – Blue Jasmine

Honourable mentions: Sally Field (Lincoln), Jennifer Lawrence (American Hustle), Meryl Streep (Into the Woods), Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Marina de Tavira (Roma)

Metcalf not winning a single precursor (Globes, CC, SAG, BAFTA) still hurts whew.

I love Alison Janney and her performance was deserving but she shouldn’t have swept for that. Laurie Metcalf literally (imo) gives one of the best supporting actress performances OF ALL TIME in Lady Bird.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).
