Clarissa Vaughan – Julianne MooreMay 23, 2021 at 2:49 am #1204267163This is hard because I think The Hours is perfectly cast, except for Nicole Kidman. Kidman just didn’t do it for me—it was like look I’m acting!. Moore & Streep hit me like a train car, Kidman took me out of it. She was fine, maybe it was the intensely prosthetic nose.
I’m going to choose actors who are roughly the age the original cast was then, since…it’s been a while since the film came out!
Virginia Woolf – Rebecca Hall
Laura Brown – Kirsten Dunst
Clarissa Vaughan – Olivia ColmanLeonard Woolf – Ben Whishaw
Vanessa Bell – Jena Malone/Vanessa Kirby
Richard Brown – Michael Fassbender
Sally Lester – Laura Linney
Julia Vaughan – Eliza Scanlen
Kitty – Laura DernReplyCopy URLJustice for Passing, Tessa Thompson & Ruth Negga.

So here’s who I would cast
Virginia Woolf – Lady Gaga (I maintain she’d nail it)
Leonard Woolf – Alexander Skarsgård
Vanessa Bell – Samantha MortonLaura Brown – Rose Byrne
Dan Brown – Matthew MacfadyenKitty – Shailene Woodley
