I am saddened to say that not only 1, but 2 of our greatest living cinematographers passed away over the last couple days.
Haskell Wexler, I will always be grateful for the effort you put into every shot, whether it was capturing the Depression era in “Bound for Glory” or the deep South in the 60’s in “In The Heat of the Night.” Also, “One Flew Over The Cukkoo’s Nest” is one of my dad’s favorite movies of all time, so I should mention that as well.
Vilmos Zsigmond, I will remember the assurance and beauty of your work in Spielberg’s “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and “The Sugarland Express.”
For your Goldderby Film Awards consideration: Isle of Dogs for every category, especially Music Score for Alexandre Desplat!
