Rami Malek and Glenn Close winning made me so happy, and so did the Black Panther win, even though I didn’t love the movie. The cast was, however, my favorite part of it.

Emily Blunt deservedly won for A Quiet Place. Poor Amy Adams. The Woman in the Window needs to be amazing.

Regina King just won her Oscar, alongside Close and Malek.

This has been such a great night! (: Malek, Close, Ali and Blunt! (: and yes, Regina King will win her Oscar too! (:

ASIB lost everything. Can we all agree that’s the biggest loser of the award season? What happened to its buzz?

I prefer being referred to as a useful idiot

I loved ASIB, but I need to accept the fact that ASIB is probably ending up in 6th place in Best Picture.

Christian Bale gave the best performance of the year. He’ll win the Oscar don’t worry.

    Bwahahaha.

I would not be surprised if Glenn upsets Colman at BAFTA.

How would that be an upset?

Malek is not a lock. Backlash regarding Singer is only at its beginning and will be even more present in the upcoming weeks. Just watch.

I just realized I never changed any of the TV SAG predictions from the announcement and didn’t put what I thought it was actually winning (except for Wright and Criss) so I got 11.11% lolololol. I’m so deceased.

Really happy for Close, she deserves it.

Also made my awards season to see Blunt finally pick up a major award, although I don’t think King is a lock. Weisz could still pick up BAFTA and possibly the Oscar, but King has the best chances overall. This is the only semi-interesting race this year

Ali was no surprise, I’m fine with his win.

No comment on Best Actor, and Ensemble was expected and fine by me since none of them were good in the first place.

Actor will boil down to Bale and Malek, but the industry seems to love Malek. He may avoid any backlash there is.

The Film Ensemble, in my opinion, is not only about the performances, but as a whole, about how well it all works onscreen. Blackkklansman was a two-men show, Bohemian Rhapsody didn’t allow anyone but Malek to shine, A Star Is Born is 98% centered on Cooper and Gaga. Although Crazy Rich Asians was, truly, an ensemble, there were many many actors who weren’t known, and this unfortunely speaks up in awards like these. Then you look at Black Panther and it’s a star-stutted cast, with good chemistry, and that elevated the movie. For me, it was clear this was the option.

I’m okay with BP’s win, cause out of the bunch, they were deserving. Now, I do believe The Favourite was robbed of a nomination and win here, which shows lack of support for the movie, unfortunely.

Even though I want Bale to win the Singer controversy should have no bearing on voting in my opinion. They tried the same crap to derail Casey Affleck’s Oscar year and I hated it then. I’m not gonna be a hypocrite and support it now.
