She feels like this year’s Blunt/Nyong’o

The difference between the Lupita Nyong’o and Elisabeth Moss is that Nyong’o was the critic favorite and Moss isn’t. Her film is also not as big a contender as Us was.

I still don’t really know how the hell Blunt got nominated and WON but it was probably more overdue sentiment than anything else. Or SAG just really liked A Quiet Place.

    Best Direction: The Midnight Sky
    Best Actor: Chadwick Boseman
    Best Actress: Viola Davis
    Best Supporting Actor: Delroy Lindo
    Best Supporting Actress: Amanda Seyfried
    Best Screenplay: Soul

    John's Best of 2021

    Best Picture: Nomadland
    Best Direction: Nomadland
    Best Actor: Lakeith Stanfield
    Best Actress: Frances McDormand
    Best Supporting Actor: Daniel Kaluuya
    Best Supporting Actress: Youn Yuh-Jung
Best Screenplay: Judas and the Black Messiah

Is Elisabeth Moss really overdue though? She’s already won twice on the TV side. I don’t think SAG voters are going to say “Elisabeth Moss has 15 nominations for TV but she’s never been nominated for film, let’s give her a 16th one.”
