(This is the easiest category to predict for me. Weirdly enough, I feel Dunst is the most vulnerable just for how SAG can be sometimes, but no one else really feels right in her slot. SAG also feels like the organization most likely to buy into the Moreno narrative.)

My thoughts: Stewart is the frontrunner and she’s very very good; Colman is as respected as she is brilliant, so she won’t miss; SAG loves Kidman (this woman holds 9 individual noms + all the ensemble ones); Haim benefits from being the cool new kid in town and she’s great in her acting debut in a movie by a huge auteur; and I think Zegler will coattail with my predicted WWS love. Gaga also makes a lot of sense (showy performance in audience-friendly movie), but the thing is… someone will be left out! Still, I totally support a Gaga nod!

It is typically the type my peers would gravitate to and I can’t see it missing because there is love for the film and its diverse ensemble but they have pulled off some weird snubs so who knows. I was convinced myself that Mank, the Favourite and Shape of water would get nominated but they didn’t.
