Imagine if it goes 0/2 after all the overpredicting
It’s what I’m predicting.

Pls, this pic. And it would be hilarious if it happened. The fumes it would produce, whew.
February 26, 2022 at 2:02 pm #1204818768Some would be still delulu and think that kotsur would be Hopkins 😂😂 even though the father is much stronger than coda
February 26, 2022 at 2:38 pm #1204818807I really wish Gaga wins tomorrow, not only because it would potentially stop a Kidman win, but also because it would be nice to see her win something after the snub.
But I really don’t see how, of all places, Kidman loses SAG :/
February 26, 2022 at 2:58 pm #1204818821Lowkey feel like someone will upset Kidman at SAG. She is the obvious choice, but a bit too obvious. Gaga is her strongest challenger in my opinion. But who knows BTR has overperformed at the guilds. I just want chaos in the Best Actress category.
Michelle (Yeoh, Williams) Oscar campaign manager.
February 26, 2022 at 3:18 pm #1204818838Right, I feel like Kidman a solid pick if you have to name someone the favorite to win here, but I would not at all be surprised to see Gaga get up to accept the award tomorrow anyway.

February 26, 2022 at 3:21 pm #1204818844Sticking with Kodi. CODA does not feel strong enough to go 2/2 and I am predicting it to win ensemble.
I also remember switching away from Kodi last minute at the globes which I obviously now regret. Not making the same mistake here.
Final predictions
Ensemble: CODA (Belfast)
Actress: Nicole Kidman (Jessica Chastain)
Actor: Will Smith (Andrew Garfield)
Supporting Actress: Ariana DeBose (Kirsten Dunst)
Supporting Actor: Kodi Smit-McPhee (Troy Kotsur)Quinta Brunson 1st and 2nd emmy campaign manager
Bill Hader 4th, 5th and 6th emmy campaign manager
Jeremy Strong 2nd emmy campaign manager
Zendaya 2nd and 3rd emmy campaign managerFebruary 26, 2022 at 3:22 pm #1204818846I’d love a Gaga win at SAG. It’d be interesting to see an even more chaotic year in Best Actress, and that’ll mean SAG and BAFTA won’t be useful in predicting the Oscars whatsoever which makes it even more exciting. But if Kidman loses at SAG playing Lucille Ball then I think she’s done, and Colman will surge with KStew, Chastain and Cruz having a renewed shot.

February 26, 2022 at 3:24 pm #1204818850I’ve had Kodi at SAG for awhile, and I don’t predicted CODA to win anything. It’s just not strong enough as an award season vehicle, and wasn’t as populist as Black Panther or Hidden Figures.

February 26, 2022 at 3:58 pm #1204818907Posting this for the people predicting Dunst and Kotsur upsets.
SAG/Globe splits this century
Supporting Actor
Mahershala Ali & Aaron Taylor-Johnson: 2017 (Taylor-Johnson was not nominated for SAG)
Idris Elba & Sylvester Stallone: 2016 (Stallone was not nominated for SAG)
Tommy Lee Jones & Christoph Waltz: 2012 (Waltz was not nominated for SAG)
Paul Giamatti & George Clooney: 2005
Morgan Freeman & Clive Owen: 2004 (Owen was not nominated for SAG)
Christopher Walken & Chris Cooper: 2003 (Walken was not nominated for the globe)
Ian McKellen & Jim Broadbent: 2002 (McKellen was not nominated for the globe)
Benicio del Toro & Albert Finney: 2001 (del Toro was not nominated for SAG)
Tom Cruise & Michael Caine: 2000Supporting Actress
Jodie Foster & Yuh-jung Youn: 2021 (Youn was not nominated for the globe and Foster was not nominated for SAG)
Regina King & Emily Blunt: 2019 (Blunt was not nominated for the globe and King was not nominated for SAG)
Kate Winslet & Alicia Vikander: 2016 (Vikander was nominated for the globe but for a different role)
Jennifer Lawrence & Lupita Nyong’o: 2014
Cate Blanchett & Ruby Dee: 2008 (Dee was not nominated for the globes)
Natalie Portman & Cate Blanchett: 2005(Portman was not nominated for SAG)
Meryl Streep & Catherine Zeta-Jones: 2003 (Zeta-Jones went lead for the globes, so not sure this qualifies as a split)
Jennifer Connelly & Helen Mirren: 2002 (Connelly was not nominated for SAG)
Kate Hudson & Judi Dench: 2000In other words, whenever splits happen it’s because one of the winners wasn’t nominated for the other award. This does not apply to Dunst or Kotsur. Both categories only have 2 cases of true splits (2.5 depending on whether or not you count Winslet and Vikander). It also seems to be a lot less common now than it was at the start of the century.
