So from this year nominees in the film categories what do you think should be used for each actors clip be? Last year I feel like they picked some weird one’s especially for Octavia Spencer. But thoughts?December 27, 2017 at 8:02 pm #1202450095
I mean for Metcalf it should be the airport scene in Lady Bird. Not sure they’d actually use it, would give away too much of the film.
For McDormand I think when she’s talking to the deer.
For Chalamet it’s when he’s asking his mom to pick him up from the train station.
For Chau it’s when she invites herself to Norway and talks about Jesus.December 27, 2017 at 8:07 pm #1202450102This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.December 27, 2017 at 8:53 pm #1202450117This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.December 28, 2017 at 1:24 am #1202450181
Timothee Chalamet – phone conversation with Oliver. “Elio Elio Elio”December 28, 2017 at 2:29 am #1202450212
Robbie- Probably the mirror or the court scene.
Janney- I just can’t decide. All her scenes were excellent, but maybe when Tonya asks her mother if she has ever loved her.December 28, 2017 at 6:10 am #1202450287
I think frances should be the slow crawl in the car where she rips into the the news reporter … it would be just BEEP bEEP BEEEP …. god it was sooo funny.

Ronan should use the scene where she is picking out a prom dress and Metcalf can use anything.

*Spoilers for The Florida Project*
The scene with the creepy old dude or the scene where he argues with Moonee’s mom about her visitorsJanuary 3, 2018 at 10:50 pm #1202455169
Based on what I’ve seen (I tried to exclude spoilers):
Timothée Chalamet: The train station scene
James Franco: “Nobody respects my vision!”
Daniel Kaluuya: The tea scene
Gary Oldman: “You can not reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth”
Sally Hawkins: “If we do nothing, neither are we”
Frances McDormand: The scene where she’s talking to the deer
Margot Robbie: The scene where she’s putting on makeup
Saoirse Ronan: “Talk to me mom”
Willem Dafoe: The scene with the creepy old man
Woody Harrelson: “It ain’t really about winning or losing, though, is it, Mildred?”
Richard Jenkins: The scene where Elisa is telling him to say what she’s signing
Sam Rockwell: “See, Red? I got issues with white folks too”
Mary J. Blige: “You come all the way back”
Holly Hunter: “Guess what everybody? We’ve got an ISIS recruiter here”
Allison Janney: “That’s the sacrifice a mother makes”
Laurie Metcalf: If the airport scene is considered “too spoiler-y”, then, “You should just go to City College…”January 21, 2018 at 6:52 pm #1202473507
-_- I can understand not doing a spoiler-y scene but half of the clips in the actual ceremony felt like whoever was selecting them just randomly picked a scene and made a clip out of it…January 22, 2018 at 4:30 am #1202474122This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.January 22, 2018 at 6:01 am #1202474237
Why did they use the ending scene of 7×04 for GoT for ensemble? lol They could have easily picked a scene from 7×07, it was silly
I was so damn shook, a huge ensemble and you show like four characters… which didn’t include the other main character of the series ಠ_ಠJanuary 22, 2018 at 6:23 am #1202474279
Which ones did they use?January 22, 2018 at 6:41 am #1202474293
Recap, as far as I can remember:
Timothee Chalamet — Elio showing off/trying to impress Oliver at the piano

disagreeably attached to power and should not have
smashed the Emperor of Russia’s egg.”
Sally Hawkins — Scene where she’s asking Jenkins to sign what she says
Frances McDormand — Yelling at the reporter (I maintain this would be better bleeping out the swears rather than awkwardly censoring most of them like a bad radio edit)
Saoirse Ronan — Arguing with her mother in the store while picking out dresses for Thanksgiving
Margot Robbie — Court scene
Mary J. Blige — “Come all the way back”
Hong Chau — Tearfully recounting the letters between her and Jorgen
