John David Washington (I HOPE!!!), Margot Robbie and Emily Blunt probably will be snubbed at the Oscars.

I actually think John David Washington is safe for the nomination.

Blunt won’t get two nominations so I won’t be surprised if she gets snubbed in supporting or even lead. If she’s unlucky she might even split her vote and get snubbed for both.

I am still weary of Elliot and specially Chalamet – although supporting actor is shaping up properly, I’m nervous about Chlamet.

Regina King is getting nominated, so someone from supporting actress is surely joining this list.

Melissa McCarthy might also be snubbed..

Emily Blunt – Mary Poppins Returns and A Quiet Place
    Timothee Chalamet – Beautiful Boy
Margot Robbie – Mary, Queen of Scots
    John David Washington – BlacKkKlansman

oof. Voting has been going since forever. It would be funny if one of them still won.

    SAG nominees, not Oscar nominees:

    Emily Blunt for Best Actress
John David Washington for Best Actor
Emily Blunt for Best Supporting Actress
Margot Robbie for Best Supporting Actress
Timothee Chalamet for Best Supporting Actor

Instead, we have yalitza Aparicio, Willem Dafoe, Marina de Tavira, Regina King and Sam Rockwell.

15 out of 20 is actually one of the lowest ratios ever.

Time to bump this one and wonder whether Helen Mirren gets another entry here.

Helen Mirren is such a SAG-but-not-Oscar-nominated type. Alongside Blunt of course

    Buy and stream Stupid Love

Pre-Order Chromatica. Out sometime this year

Poor Emily and Queen Helen, at least 3 unconverted SAG nominations each, the Academy disrespect is real

    FYC:

Antonio Banderas and Asier Etxeandia, Dolor y Gloria (Best Actor/Supporting Actor)
Emily Beecham, Little Joe (Best Actress)
Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren, The Good Liar (Best Actor/Actress)

It’s not disrespect to ignore lazy selections. Mirren is an exceptional actress, but picking her in WOMAN IN GOLD over Charlotte Rampling or choosing her part in HITCHCOCK over Emmanuelle Riva is just nuts. Both of the Academy’s choices were nods to better performances in superior films. That’s not a slight on Mirren, just an acknowledgment that there are better films and options out there (in both cases, international ones).

When will people realize there’s only one spot left in Best Actress? Renée, Charlize, ScarJo and Saoirse are in. The 3 PoCs Lup, Cynthia and Awkwafina are fighting for the last and only spot left.

That’s right! They all have a chance, it’s so hard to predict who will make it!
