Does anyone know why Scream 4 looks like that?

I mean Scream 2 is arguably the best looking one and it had the same DOP: Peter Deming.

Is there maybe a discussion or video where he talks about it?

I’ve looked and can’t find any.

But it is so glaring (pun intended) that there must be a discussion on it somewhere.

Neve Campbell is out. I’m wondering if the rumors about her not getting along with Hayden on the set of S4 are true. My guess is she only had a cameo role, and she didn’t think it’d be worth it to return.

The other thing I’ve heard is that they wanted to kill Sidney, or otherwise treat her character in a way Neve didn’t want (even less screentime, etc.). I’m interested to see if they’ll renegotiate.

But I’m also really excited to see more about the main plot, with Tara and Sam and Mindy and Chad, and the new teen actors they’ll cast. If this is a direct sequel to Scream (2022) and that was a “requel” of the franchise, will this movie be a sort of a spiritual successor to Scream 2? Will they place it at a college? That seems logical for the new crew. Might be a bit contrived to have them all at the same university, though. IDK.

Neve has carried the Scream franchise, some of the highest grossing Horror films ever, for 3-4 decades. Sidney Prescott is an iconic character. If that’s her only success then what an incredible legacy to leave behind.
