Oh my god. I was so overwhelmed by this motion picture. The DC Universe has really found it. In my literate opinion, this may be their best movie ever. Incredibly funny, well acted and a stunning direction by David F. Sandberg! My veins were filled with joy while I was sitting on the cinema’s chair. Outstanding and better than most of the recent Oscar winners, to be honest. Do you agree?

I love being a literate person.

This was the second best DC movie and it was exactly “fine.” Zachary Levi was charming, but there was no cohesion between his performance and the kid who played Billy Baston. Jack Dylan Grazer was good, but I’ve liked his performances in the past few years.

I thought it was very cute and had a really nice, upbeat energy! Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer were perfect in their roles, and I loved the family-centered aspects of it. It had a lot of weaknesses, but the goods outweighed the bads, and I smiled the whole entire time.

David Bowie would be so disappointed in you.

David Bowie would be so disappointed in you.

    And Sally Hawkins in you.

They did a nice job. I think the whole cast was pretty great and there were some nice moments. However, that 90 million budget showed. You could see how cheap the visual effects were in several shots.

My issue with the film is that once Shazam shows up, all I can see is an extremely fake and dyed black hair, an extremely padded suit, and a Henry Cavill “I’m mad” expression that I couldn’t get over, but showed up a lot during the film. I just don’t think that a Shazam-type body goes well with Zachary Levi’s face. It’s just not realistic. And it showed. I think he’s a great actor, I met him once and he was very nice, I loved Chuck, I loved him in Less than Perfect, I love the guy. But he looked miscast for half of his screen time.

Villains are always an issue with these films, I think Mark Strong was okay.

The film looked like a higher budget version of Super, which has been obvious since the first trailer. It suffered a lot from that. Many fight scenes didn’t exactly wow anybody.

I did love when Adam Brody showed up. Congrats on keeping this “twist” tight and not allowing these guys to show up anywhere. I had no idea this would happen.

And finally, fuck Warner, Cavill and Dany Garcia for robbing us the chance of seeing the “real” Superman in that final scene. (Or anybody else).

At least it was better than the Superman films, WW or JL.
