Also, while there will always be critics quick to accuse others of hypocrisy, unlike all three stars of Bombshell, neither Mulligan nor Kazan has ever appeared in any Weinstein movies, and Carey, in particular, has probably worked in more (or a higher percentage of) projects directed and/or written by women than any other A-lister I can think of. Rose McGowan isn’t going to level the same type of criticism at either one of them that she leveled at Natalie Portman. That said, I wish Brad Pitt wasn’t serving as a producer of She Said.

These movies always feel so cheap when done so soon after an event. It feels like an ego trip for the journalists more than anything.

Asking in same voice Cassie used when she said to Madison: “You thought it was crying wolf?”

“You think they are on an ego trip?”

Well this thread is already something and toxic. From the basically calling an actress a whore for dating her costar for several years and her director once after filming a movie as if it’s all some rare occurrence in Hollywood (which apparently two is many individuals nowadays) to bringing up some dumb theory as if SLP gave Lawrence $6 billion at the box office for 10 years and 3 more Oscar noms.

But anyways, hoping this is a serve. With Carey and the Unorthodox director I know it will be. The Assistant could’ve been a great take on the Weinstein effect but it was pretty subpar in its execution imo.

I usually wouldn’t be interested in something like this but I will watch anything for Zoe Kazan.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

That doesn’t really surprise me. They are characters in the movie, Promising Young Woman. BTW, I was sort of joking.
