As I said earlier, “no,” but I am surprised that so many huge names physically embraced Will Smith afterwards seemingly to comfort him, and gave him a standing ovation, and later partied hard with him at the Vanity Fair party. I think the decision to analogize himself to Richard Williams protecting his family in his acceptance speech was an unfortunate choice; I wish that the Williams sisters’ remarkable accomplishments could have been celebrated at the televised awards ceremonies without people who admire them making asses of themselves.

What’s the problem with Woody Allen?

    What isn’t 💀?

I completely agree. Kudos to the ones who didn’t clap or stood up (wtf) for someone who just 20 mins ago showed embarrassing behavior.

It’s the same star power that locked the Oscar up for him in the first place. I think a lot of people were just desperate to turn it into a good moment for the sake of the ceremony.

I feel very bad for Venus and Serena, who just came to all of these events to be celebrated and have fun. Will’s speech was unfair to them and their father.

No, simply because the award is a recognition to the performance, the artistic achievement, not to the artist responsible for it himself.

Why are you suprised that black men came to console another black man who was clearly going through something in real time lol. Denzel and tyler are LONG time friends of will. And clearly bradley cares about him aswell. These people know wills heart. Its so annoying to see people now realising that this was something clearly built up over time and we all make mistakes. But white people calling for him to be “sent to death penalty” and all that crap are so racist that they are using this as a way to bring our first black actor in 15 years down. Chris and will are grown men who can handle this calmy but if u go and make a mockery of a loved one, some people will not react the way youd hope or want. I believe will smiths protection of black woman, hes always protected the women in his life. And hes a great human being, it just sucks that this is what millions of people saw instead of the main reason being him having enough of disrespect towards his wife.

I don’t even care if he gets to keep his Oscar or not but the fact that the Academy did nothing during the ceremony is very scary. Chris Rock shouldn’t have made that tasteless joke but no one intervened not even after he was hit and Smith was throwing slurs at him. The situation could have easily degenerated even more and Smith shouldn’t have been allowed to get back to his seat and accept his award like nothing happened. They even celebrated him at post-event parties 💀

Wtf is wrong with these people…

“As Smith returned to his front row seat, he was approached and hugged by Bradley Cooper, and then headed back to his seat, wiping his eyes with a tissue along the way.”

Because everyone knows will is a good human being. Bradley and everyone who knows him, knows that this had to really have hit wills heart hard. This wasn’t something that anyone ever expected. But real people have real reactions.

We need to get rid of this thread………..It’s STUPID and so are some of you on this board. Will won it fair and square. He could have handled himself better but he was defending his wife and got caught up in the moment.

    Defending his wife …?

Caught up in the moment …?

    Give me a fucking break.

Bill Hader and Barry in everything (2 babka)
The Great - Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult and comedy writing and directing

Severance in drama series, writing, Adam Scott for best actor, Ben Stiller for drama directing, and the whole cast in supporting.

“Everyone” is such a fallacy word. Speak for yourself. The guy is trash.
