Good evening to you guys i have a question for you : i read that Mike Mills C’mon c’mon will involves also special visual effect by Peter Jackson’s company and this will make the budget of the film growing up so that it will be a more ambitious project than we tought. Do you confirm that? Do you know if there will be special effects?

The Chalahair is still strong, I see.

Not only is this movie ridiculously baity but it’s Fox Searchlight’s. So, I expect countless nominations: Picture, Acting, Screenplay, Editing , Cinematography, Production Design, maybe Costumes, Score’s a possibility.

Baity isn’t exactly the word I would use to describe Wes Anderson films lol. The film should definitely get nominated for a lot of techs though. Acting is up in the air. Picture is probably locked as is screenplay.

    Exactly

French Dispatch looks so much like The Grand Budapest Hotel which is my favourite Wes Anderson film and easily one of my all time favourite.

I have seen The Grand Budapest Hotel 7 times
    2 times with intent
5 times just to start and catch opening act which always ends up me watching it till finish.

She is probably going to be in the movie for like 2 seconds a la The Grand Budapest Hotel but Saoirse looks fabulous

First trailer of The French Dispatch has been released: https://youtu.be/TcPk2p0Zaw4

It’s a visual masterpiece. It will probably be nominated for the categories the Grand Budapest Hotel was. I don’t think it will be nominated in any acting categories though.

    • Production Design
    • Costume Design
    • Makeup and Hairstyling
    • Original Score
    • Film Editing
    • Cinematography
    • Directing
    • Original Screenplay
    • Best Picture

The production design will definitely be a contender, based alone from the trailer.

If any of these films get completed and ready for a release by 2020 or early 2021, these actors might have a shot.

Michelle Williams: “The Challenger” and “This is Jane”

    Chris Pine: “Newsflash”

    Mark Ruffalo: “Newsflash”

    Jessica Chastain: “355”

    Sebastian Stan: “355”

    Diane Kruger: “355”

    Andrew Garfield: “Instrumental”

I think Sundance won’t make much of a splash this year. Maybe Minari in Picture/Screenplay and Hopkins in Actor. That’s all I can see surviving the whole year.

355 won’t have anything to do with the Oscars. Garfield and Pine will definitely be contenders but probably next year. Williams’s films haven’t had an update in awhile. Ruffalo maybe next year.
