    Joaquin phoenix (c’mon c’mon)
    Will smith (king richard)
Denzel washington (the tragedy of macbeth)”

Chalamet in Dune is a good call and I absolutely expect him and Ferguson (Supporting Actress) to make CCA’s line up since they have 7 per category.

    Mike faist (west side story)
Robin de jesus (tick tick boom)
    Troy kostur (CODA)
Kodi smit McPhee (the power of the dog)”

I hope they go crazy with diversity picks and nominate Tony Leung for Shang Chi. Simu Liu was awful and Awkwafina passable, but Leung was a boss and his nom wouldn’t be undeserved.

With supporting, anything can happen so it should be interesting

I was listening to a podcast that mentioned 3 major studios never sent screeners to the HFPA this year. I’m not sure which studios, but I wonder if it’ll affect nominations. As much of a joke as the Globes are, nominations and wins are still going to generate buzz and chatter. The amount of “normal” people I’ve talked to recently who just completely forgot about all of the Globes drama. Obviously this isn’t the case in the industry, but I can’t help but feel they’ll still be influential.

Every year there’s a movie that gets ignored by the Globes and then proceeds to tank the rest of the season. Da 5 Bloods, The Big Sick and First Man being two recent examples.

So if any movie gets this treatment here, be careful.

The Big Sick didn’t tank at all. It got multiple Critics Choice nods (including Best Picture), SAG Ensemble, PGA, and Original Screenplay at the Oscars. The Globes were the anomaly for snubbing them.

Not the right place and the new season isn’t out yet but imagine after all of this and they still nominate Emily in Paris. Lololol.

I just love movies. And awards.
