I think Trial of the Chicago can get in multiple actors, but if that happens, they’ll split the vote.

I think at least Rylance is in. The question is do they get more and if so how many more?

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

Just mentioned in the Mank thread that three of its supporting actors should be recognized.

    Tom Burke
    Charles Dance
    Arliss Howard

It’s so interesting that this hadn’t happened in ages in Supporting Actor but now it could happen for the third time in four years. Reminds me of that combined acting/songwriting nomination that never occurred but now is a yearly thing.

    For Your Consideration:
The Banshees of Inisherin in ALL categories, including:
    - Best Picture
    - Best Director
    - Best Actor (Colin Farrell)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Brendan Gleeson)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Barry Keoghan)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Kerry Condon)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Sheila Flitton)
    - Best Original Screenplay

Never stopped to realize that all 3 of Celeste Holm’s nominations were in competition with a co-star.

Twice: George C. Scott, Amy Adams, Maggie Smith and Teresa Wright.

Shelley Winters won twice over actresses who were nominated from the same film.

I don’t think anyone from Mank is getting nominated in that category.

I agree. Though they are good but not outstanding. Still Chicago 7 have the chance if ever.

That’s disappointing because the supporting actors of Mank were great, unlike the lead actor and a certain actress…
