    My ranking for the winners
    1. Anne Hathaway
    2. Cate Blanchett
    3. Penelope Cruz
    4. Tilda Swinton
    5. Monique
    6. Renée Zellweger

    7. Melissa Leo
    8. Rachel Weisz
    9. Patricia Arquette
    10. Catherine Zeta-Jones
    11. Octavia Spencer

    12. Lupita Nyong’o
    13. Jennifer Hudson

    N/S Marcia Gay Harden.

3rd – Melissa McCarthy’s losing is just very annoying as she gave an amazingly funny performance and she should have won over Spencer. Both McCarthy and Byrne should have been nominated in “Bridesmaids”.

2nd – Julianne Moore’s in “The Hours” performance is one of my favs ever, so seeing ‘singing-dancing-lookinghot’ CZJ winning over her is very sad.

1st – But the fact that people like Jennifer Hudson has an Oscar is the most annoying thing ever. Rinko Kikuchi, Adriana Barraza, Cate Blanchett (fraud, though) and hell even Abigail Breslin have deserved it better. So my vote goes to the worst ever winner in this category, Jennifer Hudson.

You rank Blanchett, Hathaway, Cruz, and Swinton above MoNique????????????

Hudson is far from being the worst imo but to each its own I guess.

Well, McCarthy and Chastain were funnier for sure, and we all know why Spencer got this over them. It’s all about the politics. You play a maid, you play a slave, you win the Oscar. Easy. And it’s so disrespectful for black actors. And for minorities overall. They deserve better roles.

I don’t “really” hate her Oscar, because at least she’s doing better work than ever on screen. Aside of her pretty mediocore job in “Fruitvale Station” (for which Melonie Diaz is among my personal nominees that year) I enjoyed her in most films. “Snowpiercer” the most. And I like her personality, it’s just she wasn’t the best that particular year.

Spencer deserved that Oscar. I realize her perf isnt everyone’s favorite, but imo, she’s the highlight in a terrific cast. She creates a character with spine, guts, humour, and resilience.

Monique was very deserving, but I prefer the other four.

    So who is your worst?

Renée Zellweger. That was Shohreh’s Oscar.

She should have won for “The Stoning of Soraya M.”.

The answer is anyone losing to Hudson, ESPECIALLY Kikuchi and Barraza.

This one was easy. Hudson. Anyone that year could/should have won. Kikuchi, Barazza, Blanchett, whomever…

Hudson has incredible voice, no one denys that, but the second she stopped singing in “Dreamgirls” she would get worse than IDK, Ellen Pompeo in “Greys”

It shouldn’t matter that Jennifer Hudson is an American Idol contestant who did no notable acting up to that point. You go by the performance. I thought hers was great. You could argue the technical flaws, but I tend to forgive those if it doesn’t hurt the overall effect. And the overall effect of her performance was very strong, imho. It was fraud though. She should have won, but it should have been in the lead category.

I thought Meryl Streep should have won Best Supporting Actress for The Devils Wears Prada.

Amy Adams should have won that Oscar hands down over Rachel Weisz.  I almost threw a shoe at the tv and it was not my tv.

She should have won a lead Oscar over Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Judi Dench or Meryl Streep? Not in hell.

Mirren was my second choice for the year, and Winlset also makes my ballot. Streep gave an entertaining supporting performance, but it was a little stereotypical, and I didn’t see the character as a real, believable human. Dench was similar in that it was entertaining, but lacked character depth. If I were talking about the actresses instead of the performances, my opinion would be different.
