You can tell the ignorant Swift stans don’t know anything about the Oscar history of the director category, that notoriusly doesn’t nominate women easily, only 7 women got nominated in all Oscar history. And if acclaimed professional directors like Denis Villeneuve gets snubbed for a masterpiece like ‘Dune’, do you really think the Academy is going to nominate Taylor Swift at her first try for some basic white girl romance movie? Be serious. Her victory will be not sweeping the Razzies.
You’re the ignorant one coming in here commenting on a film you know nothing about, and then underestimating her because she is a woman.

March 28, 2023 at 2:21 am #1205366825I’m a huge Taylor fan and defender but I’m also not a coddling type of fan. I do think that Taylor has to learn that Hollywood is not like the music business. She rules the music business and she’s a great artist but being a great music artist doesn’t automatically make you a great director or screenwriter. Also movies aren’t music videos. Put music aside and be serious and work hard. Don’t be pretentious and believe that you are automatically great at everything like Madonna seemed to believe. I look forward to giving her film a chance whenever it is released.
She is not Madonna. She has directing talents, and I’m saying that as her fan yes but also someone who shares the same skeptics as you…

ReplyCopy URLMarch 28, 2023 at 2:52 am #1205366844it’s okay criticizing, when your criticism is objective and free from personal bias. but the gaga fans on here are just hating on Taylor to be spiteful.

You don’t even have reading comprehension.
I’m not the one understimating her because she is a woman, the Academy notoriously understimate women in direction.
Being a woman it’s the last of her problems, lack of actual talent is her main issue, what she did with her music videos is nothing outstanding or worth of an Oscar, mediocrity at its finest.
The Academy indeed said NO to her mediocre music video, not even for a nomination.
