I really hope she takes a proper pause from music when this becomes the priority. She needs to establish herself as a serious director, rather than a musician with a hobby on the side

That’s what I was saying. Taylor has not been taking her film career seriously. She cannot have one foot in and one foot out. Taylor needs to drop music for a while and give the film her full attention.

That’s not exactly true, she released Midnights up during peak campaigning season. All of these music records she broke, getting such  attention overshadowed the film. It definitely contributed to her not even getting a shortlist.
