I’m so anxious for the Judy reviews to come in, if Renée gets raves this race could become interesting again

Also, I didn’t realize there was a tribute for Renée before the screening of Judy?

wowzers looks like a big day in telluride today. Looking forward to the avalanche of tweet reviews!August 30, 2019 at 4:16 pm #1203049491
Glowing raves for Ford v. Ferrari on twitter. People have been sleeping on it.

Things always change, but Ford v Ferrari seems like it’s still solidly in the position that a lot of GDers predicted after the trailer; lower-tier Best Picture nom, several tech nominations and maybe a few wins, and a nomination for Bale. I wonder if he can still make it in now that Best Actor is heating up, but most of the tweets singled him out.

2 reviews came out for Judy, so take with a grain of salt, but they were huge raves (aka. Winning performance).
That is the truth.

The Renéeaisance is officially happening, folks!!!
She is getting RAVES on Twitter, with many I’ve seen calling it a career-best performance.August 30, 2019 at 8:13 pm #1203049696
Telluride: I’ve gotta tell you, I don’t think Renee Zellweger could have possibly been better as Judy Garland than she is in JUDY. Career-best work! The movie is fine, but, like MY WEEK WITH MARILYN and FILM STARS DON’T DIE IN LIVERPOOL, the performance is the reason to show up! -@ScottFeinberg
Renee Zellweger gives a career-best, heartbreaking performance in @JudyTheFilm – covers the rainbow of emotions and the tragic pain of her life. Really touching #Telluride #TellurideFilmFestival -@jdonbirnam
Renée Zellweger gives a jaw-dropping portrayal in a sometimes choppy, sometimes brilliant film. Her volcanic, tour-de-force performance is one for the ages, and is absolutely worthy of a second Oscar. #judymovies #tff46 #TellurideFilmFestival #ReneeZellweger #judygarland -@MarkLikesMovies
#ReneeZellweger IS Judy Garland. And the audience was in tears at the end of the movie. What Hollywood did to Judy, it’s believable but unbelievable. #judythefilm -@MarcMalkin

Is it just me or is Renee getting more raves for her performance in Judy than ScarJo did for Marriage Story?August 30, 2019 at 8:23 pm #1203049706
Is it just me or is Renee getting more raves for her performance in Judy than ScarJo did for Marriage Story?
I would agree, but ScarJo is a part of an ensemble that includes two other Oscar-worthy performances, so it makes sense why Renée would be praised more for a movie that’s entirely centered around her performance.
