Well, this has a pretty big effect on the Oscar race. Don’t be surprised if this happens to other big time films as well.

I didn’t realise saving people’s lives was the worst idea ever?

This video should explain everything you need to do. In short, the lockdowns did the opposite of what they were intended to do (saving people’s lives), and for me to explain everything myself would take up too many words.

Dude, the lockdowns saved millions of lives. The data is out there. The only reason people are dying now is because of all these imbeciles who aren’t wearing masks and partying till the cows come home. Of course Trump and the CDC have done our country no favors either.

Lockdowns are saving lives. The USA would have something close to 2M dead now instead of 120k if no lockdowns were made. The current numbers could be much lower if deniers like you didn’t exist. Movie theaters would be reopening already if people like you weren’t ruining the safety measures.
So go watch your movie and risk your life and the lives of people who care about you.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 21, 2020 at 7:41 am #1203594219Can’t believe we’re having this conversation about lockdowns. Yes, their annoying, but they’re saving lives and we have to follow them if we want things to get better.
Unfortunately, I don’t think Tenet and the other blockbusters will release until next year.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 21, 2020 at 8:27 am #1203594309Lol, we knew this would happen. Just release it on VOD like everyone else. Theaters won’t be open in the US until there is a widely-available vaccine, which we won’t have for a long while.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 27, 2020 at 10:15 am #1203605578They have announced a rollout plan for Tenet in 70 countries starting August 26.

August 27: Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Lebanon, Malaysia, Middle East, New Zealand, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates.
August 28: East Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, and Vietnam.

(Sadly I’ll still have to wait)

We’re in the middle of a pandemic. Thousands have died. Just be patient and you’ll eventually watch it.
I may have come off as insensitive, which wasn’t my intention. I am just sad because my country was handling it so well just a couple of weeks ago but people stopped following the safety measures and now we are at our worst point.
I should have explained better but what I meant was that I am sad things don’t seem to be going to get better here soon. The country having a TBD release date just makes it clearer.
