Mulligan and Zendaya.
All of the precursors are gonna be absolutely scattered this year.

Is she even getting in anywhere 💀 She’s my push every year but the buzz is not there at all. Ironically if she can get in somewhere, it’s probably BAFTA.

I see her as the Margot Robbie for Mary Queen of Scots this year. Except I highly doubt she gets in at the Oscars.
Remember they ignored Little Women almost completely at the Globes yet she still got in there. Although LW was a much stronger Oscar contender than Ammonite will be.

The difference is that Little Women was acclaimed/had rave reviews plus I think everyone knew that she was making it in and that the movie was gonna do well even after the SAG shut out. A nod somewhere is a win for me as a Ronan stan tbh. I need her to get that 5th Oscar nod soon so she can break the record of her co-star, Kate.

Yeah of course but both her and Margot Robbie feel like (to me) they’re the two biggest household names of their generation who keep doing Oscar bait after Oscar bait but not necessarily all their projects end up succeeding on the Oscar trajectory but because Hollywood is dying to award them eventually they pop up at precursors.

Doubt she happens at BAFTA but with the rate some contenders are underwhelming I wouldn’t be surprised to see Elisabeth Moss slip into those three awards ceremonies and miss at the Oscars.

I guess we’ll see if she can get in at any precursors. I think her biggest chance rn like I said is at BAFTA though they may just pick Fiona Shaw instead.

I see a path for him to be Egerton’d (especially if Judas or Trial overperform)
ReplyCopy URLNovember 23, 2020 at 2:27 am #1203856622Zendaya if reviews are great, is not gonna be nominated everywhere then miss. She is either all in or getting snubbed everywhere.
I believe Zendaya will have that awards break we can see in some young actresses who get acclaim for an indie: an Independent Spirit Award nomination, a couple of critics associations nods for Best Actress and maybe a Golden Globe nomination since she qualifies as one of the it girls in recent years
SAG or Oscar can happen for sure, but I believe it will be a movie that will put her under the Oscar radar and estabilish her as a serious movie actress
