Quite telling. Their job isn’t done but it looks like they’ve packed their bags for now.

I can only reflect on some of the people admitted to the actors’ branch since 2016 and think it’s rather tokenistic – many of the admissions made public are people with relatively no background in the film industry, let alone the extensive and high callibre of contribution to acting in quality films that the branch supposedly requires, in order to ajudicate the highest film acting honour.

Not really. It was always Way, Way, Way Easier to get aceepted at The Actors Branch than to get aceepted at The Directors Branch or The Cinematographers Branch. Former President Donald J. Trump was an Official Actor Member for 20 or More than 20 years
