I’m shocked by how great this trailer is. How about that? Hopefully it doesn’t face the same kind of trajectory that “Widows” did.

I expected the film to be more comedic. It looks really entertaining though. All three leads seem to have some juicy scenery to chew on.

This gives me “Widows” vibes. The cast looks amazing though! All three actresses are super talented. Tiffany Haddish is finally stretching her dramatic chops.

“you look like your picture, thank god.”

I may have seen a test screening for this months ago, it’s definitely entertaining. McCarthy is definitely the focus with Moss and Haddish more supporting. McCarthy does very well with her lead role, but Moss probably plays the most interesting, but also least prominent, of the three leads. Haddish surprised me with how well she did with the more dramatic material, but she gets the least to do out of the three and didn’t really do anything that impressive. It definitely might have changed in the months since, but as is I don’t see this being a major awards contender or anything unless it’s a huge hit. It’s actually more dramatic than I was expecting, but it never really gets that dark, it’s always more of a fun gangster movie. Very 70’s feel.

It’s getting slammed hard! 17% on Rotten Tomatoes.

37 on Metacritic with 31 reviews. Damn. Well, they can’t all be winners.
