Didn’t you find this article a little strange? “Quentin Tarantino’s Close Friend Shuts Down Rumors That His Next Film is About Pauline Kael” Yet at no point does he mention Tarantino or Kael in his post (by the way the post is no longer available). He mentions that someone has been reported to star in the film but no one has mentioned any actors attached to the project.

The only part of this article that made sense to me was: “Back to “The Movie Critic,” Kit’s exclusive earlier this week caught a lot of people off-guard. I still believe there must some semblance of truth in his reporting, THR wouldn’t let him just go ahead and publish this if they weren’t so sure about the veracity of the sourcing.”

I find Jordan Ruimy’s blog posts interesting but he travels in gossip that is unverified, which is why I almost always use the word “reportedly” when quoting or linking to him.

Yes, his unceasing desire to always be the first to report information about upcoming movies or exclusive details hinders the credibility of his news quite a bit. I think he’s a very well connected person and usually his sources bring information with a grain of truth, but sometimes he reaches for information that is not yet available and jumps to conclusions.
ReplyCopy URLI agree that Koppelman seems to be referring to PTA. The rumor about that movie being about the Republican party began from Jeff Sneider’s Twitter account. There was gossip Leo may be in it but the Joaquin casting came out of nowhere. Also, I could have sworn like a year ago there was gossip Denzel would be in it. Just a lot of insanity.
Gossip about Tarantino broke from The Hollywood Reporter, a trade, not a random Twitter account. It seems more legitimate.

Winona Ryder. Tarantino likes a good comeback narrative and although, Ryder has been back with Stranger Things, she hasn’t done much major film work.
Plus, she has that diverse body of work including comedy (Heathers!!!) that he seems to like.
