It’s a given that it’ll be a critical flop, although I doubt it will be as bad as Annie. Being on Netflix will obviously favor it and that’s exactly why Diaz is on board. It’s a smart move commercially to come back with a Netflix mainstream film. It’d just be nice to see her in a challenging/more interesting role though for once, and we all know how she should’ve snatched Oscar for Bad Teacher.
She and Angelina Jolie were the first choices for Silver Lining Playbook (J-Law role). That role was way older at the beginning. She is Underrated. I think Cameron Diaz could be great in HBO Series like Nicole Kidman
ReplyCopy URLMarch 24, 2023 at 4:24 pm #1205362954I know he basically begged her to co-star with him but it being a Netflix film and her starring opposite Jamie Flop, I mean Foxx, of all people doesn’t sit right with me. She was one of the biggest movie stars in the world, she deserves better. Oh well, at least she’ll give him his first big Netflix hit (his other movies were modest hits at best and that godawful sitcom was probably the least watched show in the streaming history). When it flops critcally, she can always say she just did her friend a favor.
I don’t like The Rock (all of his movies are awful) but Cameron Diaz is perfect for an action comedy with The Rock. I hated Red Notice but it’s the most watched Netflix movie ever and The Rock is doing Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3
ReplyCopy URLMarch 24, 2023 at 4:44 pm #1205362989Oh, yes, let’s cast her opposite The Rock next and after that her next co-star should be Sandler.
You laugh but Netflix will try that. The Rock and Adam Sandler (I don’t like them) are the biggest Netflix stars

Oops, my bad! I completely forgot about that film! Thx.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 29, 2023 at 3:45 pm #1205368527Tarantino appeared at the Grand Rex tonight and confirmed that his last movie is NOT about Pauline.
But it IS called The Movie Critic. And it takes place in 1977.
To be fair this is the only thing THR reported with confidence: Logline details are being kept in a suitcase, but sources describe the story as being set in late 1970s Los Angeles with a female lead at its center.
They made it clear that the Pauline thing was speculation on their part.

I’d die
ReplyCopy URLMarch 29, 2023 at 4:02 pm #1205368551Claire Danes would be an interesting choice. It would be nice to see her back in film….she could really deliver in the right role (her work in Temple Grandin was Oscar worthy). But I’d still like to see Winona Ryder or Jennifer Jason Leigh in a Tarantino film.
Darling, JJL received her first Oscar nomination unfortunately in a Tarantino movie, despite it being the most obnoxious of her career

He might be out of the movie business but apperantly he still will be putting together a series or two.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 29, 2023 at 9:07 pm #1205368720I know this is supposed to be set in 1977, but if Tarantino wanted to break the internet, just make it a Grace Randolph biopic starring Jessica Chastain.
ReplyCopy URLApril 2, 2023 at 2:45 pm #1205374821I wonder what is the budget. In theory OUATIH was small but costed 100 Million USD. Lately, his movies are very expensive
ReplyCopy URLApril 3, 2023 at 8:53 am #1205375786As long as he doesn’t go all Heaven’s Gate the budget can remain incidental.
I’m still skeptical about Tarantino retiring from film making.ReplyCopy URLThe Sunne in Splendour.
I prefer my roses whiteApril 10, 2023 at 1:05 am #1205384122World of Reel(Jordan Ruimi could be wrong) says The Main Role is a Man. The movie takes place in 1977. It could be an attack against Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Jaws and Star Wars created our modern blockbusters and changed Cinema maybe for the worse: the Obsession with Box Office Worldwide/Globally
