My concept isn’t quite a headline photoshoot in terms of glamour and succinct language, but here goes.

For how many Best Picture nominees a year got in film, I want this thread to come up with the same number of films that were runners up. For example, for 2019, you pick the next 9. These are the 9 films next most likely to get in Best Picture, based on factors of your choice. The number changes depending on the number that year.

*Performance-led films that have evidence of being seen already have an advantage

***In this case, the sheer number of films made me choose The Farewell, a film that got no nominations. However, I think it probably would’ve been somewhere in that next 9.
